Family Skiing in Scotland, YHA style maybe ?

With two young boys (10 and 8) and two novice parents we’ve been looking for a cheap holiday to see if we even want to ski or snowboard in arctic conditions. As usual, me, the mother, is the problem because I feel the chill, so with little money to spend on holidays we don’t want to break the bank. After all I might need a hot tropical holiday in order to recover from this one!

Since we joined the YHA this year this seems a good idea:
A beautiful looking 4 star hostel in the Cairngorms that do great value winter skills courses.
There are hostels in all the other main winter sports areas like Aviemore, Braemar, Glen Nevis and Glencoe.
You could try a Winter Skills weekend, minimum age 14, to bond with a sulky teenager! (why not look at our selection of spa holidays to recover from this one!)

I rather like the look of Hostel of the month in Edinburgh. Maybe we should book it for next years’s Edinburgh festival! What do you think Ben?
